Abstract
Context: When it comes to assessing coronary artery disease (CAD), myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) is a potent diagnostic and prognostic technique. Cardiovascular disease is more common in those with type 2 diabetes, according to many research. Another key component of the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus is insulin resistance. Still, there's no consensus on how to screen prediabetics for coronary artery disease. It seems to reason that CAD would be linked to glucose intolerance and insulin resistance, as both conditions occur before the onset of obvious diabetes. Using single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) to assess myocardial perfusion in persons at risk of developing prediabetes and insulin resistance was the primary goal of this research. Subjects and Procedures: Researchers carried out a descriptive research. Insulin sensitivity was found in 81 individuals (Group B), whereas insulin resistance was found in 32 (Group A) among 1
