Abstract
Conditions that impact the blood vessels of the retina, a light-sensitive tissue located in the back of the eye, are known as vascular disorders of the retina. Severe vision loss or complete blindness may result from these conditions if they are not addressed. The most common vascular illnesses affecting the retina are diabetic retinopathy (DR), macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion (RVO), and retinal artery occlusion (RAO). There are a variety of treatment options available, including medication, laser surgery, and other methods, to decrease swelling, stop bleeding, and prevent further damage to the retina. It is crucial to have your eyes checked regularly to catch eye diseases and conditions early and prevent permanent vision loss. A variety of retinal vascular disorders (RVDs) are briefly discussed in this review article, along with their molecular etiology and standard therapeutic approaches. as is.
